I am so happy for the two of you!! There is nothing in this life that compares to raising a child! Watching them sleep at night and knowing that they depend on you for EVERYTHING!! It's an amazing feeling! You two will be INCREDIBLE parents! I wish you the best, and can't wait to hear that the lucky little girl is in your arms!!

Hey sis! I was reading about your Anv.. wow has it been that long already? I remember your wedding so well! First you looked BEAUTIFUL! Then I remember how Dad was so proud of you-he was bursting with Joy.. He came and picked me an Hannah up for the wedding and Hannah was just a baby.. we stoped to eat at Bob Evans and I could not decided to get a burger or pasta and Dad ordered them both.. Crazy..LOL I rememberd how you had everything soooo organized! You know Karmen, I love you so much and I think about you and Greg and my little Ella all the time.. She is coming.. God is just waiting to give you the one he is creating for two AMAZING people! She is going to be special and of course God is going to add a bit of "Aunt Lena" to her genes.. LOL I love ya..

We just finished our 3 round of paperwork. I just posted that I finally took the packet to the post office. We are on kindred feelings. I also have had people telling me I should just let it go. I think like you too- I am not sure we would have gone through this if we had known how long it was going to take. Can you believe there are still people with 2009 LID? We had some financial changes and this was one thread of hope I couldn't let go right now. SO like you, I will count my blessings and I will even be a little happy when the new I-171 form comes back :)

I just read your entry about Lumpy, I'm so sad. Those of us, who love our dogs, can truly relate. It is heart breaking to see them suffer, and to let them go, even when it is the best decision to make. Our furry Best Friends have a special place in our lives and hearts. It took us about 6 months to look again for another cocker spaniel after we lost Belle, just after we moved to Mauston. (I know the lady just north of Mauston where we got Baylie, has a 9 month old female pup, she is going to be selling. She's black and white, and really cute....her name is Annie....) Please remember, we are thinking about you, and love you both.

I first heard about Lumpy this morning from Cheryl Mills...we took Fillette in to have her groomed. I felt awful! Chuck and I fully understand how the heart breaks when you put your best friend down because of sickness. Our beloved Gypsy was 14 years old while we held her, sitting on the floor in Dr. Birch's office, 9:45 pm. Even when they are very sick...it's just so hard to be the one to make the decision to say goodbye...you hope they can make the decision and quietly slip off to sleep.
You are right Karmen...you will see your Lumpy in heaven, but in the meantime, he is playing with a black german shepherd named Gypsy. They'll have a lot of stories to tell us one day :-) You and Greg are in our thoughts and prayers. Love you both. Karen and Chuck
